With the possibility that Chinese Sarawakians, or at least 70% of Chinee Voters would reject SUPP, they are now singing a different tune. If only they had listened and not be subservient to Thief Minister, Abdul Taib, they would not be in such desperate situation.
The Chinese community should stand up and voice their needs, requests and grievances in order to be heard by the government.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan said this would be more useful and effective than just whining as the government might not be aware of the real problems affecting the people.
“If you do not dare to talk about them how would the government know? The people should be more vocal and speak out loud if they want their needs and grievances to be heard. It will not serve the purpose if they just whine,” said Dr Chan.
The question remains, can they be trusted. We do not think so? Whose interest did they represent in the first place. Not the ordinary chinese Sarawakians.
Certainly not the Dayaks! We just wonder what those Bidayuh and Iban discards from Pesaka wing of PBB is doing in SUPP.
It is high time, they realise SUPP do not actually represent their interest.
To those Bidayuhs and Ibans, they should either join SNAP and Pakatan Rakyat Sarawak or to face the possibility of being rejected in the 10th Sarawak State Election.
As the days draw closer, SUPP is shouting at their top of their voices to be heard by all that they are representing the interest of Chinese “only“.
The following article is from Bernama. What does it mean? Bernama is closely associated to UMNO and UMNO have said “With or Without Taib, BN will still win in Sarawak”.
Looks like the warlords in UMNO will have the final say, similar to the Ascot Sports Betting Licence issue.
Knowing PM Najib’s past behaviour in “TRH and TDM Tussle for UMNO Presidency” in the mid eighties, all eyes will be on PM Najib and whether he will pull out the “Keris” and stab Taib in the back!
I guess when that happens, there is not much love lost, judging from the cold response from Sarawak Barisan Nasional and their component parties, SPDP and PRS, many we incidentally know is quietly hoping that he will step down or lost in the seat he is going to contest in the anticipated 10th Sarawak Election.
Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) today expressed its undivided support for Abdul Taib Mahmud to remain as the party president, saying this was necessary to maintain political stability and continuous development in Sarawak.
The support was expressed via a pledge of loyalty and a resolution at the meeting of the PBB supreme council chaired by Taib himself, said PBB deputy president Alfred Jabu.
Jabu said the support was expressed by all the PBB supreme council members and all the leaders of the various segments of the 71 branches of the party.
“We (PBB members) unanimously support the leadership of Abdul Taib Mahmud and will continue to support his leadership and that of Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak,” Jabu, who is a Sarawak deputy chief minister, told reporters this evening.
Taib, who is Sarawak chief minister, left 10 minutes earlier and declined to speak to reporters who had been waiting since morning. He left it to Jabu to attend to the newsmen. – Bernama

“Taib had wanted to step down in 2006, but the people ‘rakyat’ of Sarawak want him to stay, so he had no choice but to stay.
Perhaps that is Taib’s perceptions, which obviously not reflecting the growing sentiment of all Sarawakians including those in his own party PBB – that he must go.

There was this unusual dialogue held on the 30th July at SRK Chung Hwa school in Betong (of all places) that had this bold theme that surprised everyone!
“Jemputan ke majlis dialog bagi tanah yang terletak di kawasan Betong town District on 30 July at Sjk Chung Hua”
Why at the Chung Hua school?
Its because the topic will effect the mainly chinese folks. You see, in Betong everything is politics … lock, stock and barrel ..! So, to kinda respect and tarik ati the chinese, lets hold this dialogue at a chinese school.
For your kind information, the Dewan Rentap is much bigger and more suitable than the Chung Hua.
So, the gist of it all is this …
All land that is 3km square radius covering the Betong town areas will NOT BE RENEWED after its expiry.
Thats mean, all land in Semumok, Pasar Miskin, Paya Udak, Gernis, Entanak, Lempaong, Bebanggai, Tg Palai, part of Malaban, all that part of areas along Tg Assam Rd and all surrounding areas will not renewed come its expiry date.
This policy or ruling, or whatever you called them, will hit hard the land owners in these areas.
It is very naive of us to rely on the Sarawak Land Code to administer all administrative and legal land matters. Nowadays, politicians, especially “older” ones, decide a policy terribly impromptu and at impulse.
Already, this State Government is bogged down by numerous land cases suit served against her, and now this, its baffling. There must be something terribly wrong, either your Land Law is flawed, or your land policy is bad, that there are hundreds of court cases pending against the Government resulting in the aforementioned. Not forgetting the millions of tax payers money coughed out by the Government to pay for damages awarded. And now this weird decision, almost suicidal in nature.
The dailogue was chaired by Alfred Jabu and surrounded by top civil servants in Betong.
Eagerly awaiting the aftermath and retribution comes next election, if any ..
By the way, please be reminded that once your lease expires, there is no compensation.
You, the landowners will have to decide. Renew now, you have no chance to have the approval. You wait for expiry date, all will be gone..no compensation and no ownership of the land.
Before the project even got of the ground, Sarawak Barisan Nasional is beginning to treat the funds as their own.
Since its announcement, like an expert and only authority in NCR Land Righst, our ever inefficient Afraid Jabu went to town telling all and sundry that only “Matured NCR Land” will be surveyed. He went on to further disclose to Malaysiakini that “Only NCR Land with Potential” will be surveyed! How we wish one way, we have him take the stand in Court to testify and see whether he will make a fool of himself like MACC’s lawyer Abdul Razak Musa.
As if that is not enough, additional conditions were attached to the survey of NCR Land when Member of Parliment for Lubok Antu William Nyalau Badak at the ‘leader-meet-people’ programme held at Rumah Baba, Nanga Kapu, Lemanak, Lubok Antu, NCR Land Owners were advised to accept the “Government’s Offer to Develop NCR Land” with the following promise:
and
As if that is not enough to show their high handed way of dealing with the poor Dayaks, we now have an Assistant Minister of Planning and Resource Management Mohd Naroden Majais, telling Natives only request for NCR Land made through BN Representatives will be surveyed.
Sarawak Barisan Nasional Leaders certainly learn West Malaysian Style Politics fast and are certainly looking to be good boys of PM Najib as they seem to Politically Blackmail the rakyat.
Remember the now famous UMNO-Barisan Nasional Battle cry with the non-Malays, “Gua Tolong Lu. Lu Tolong Gua”.
The first to follow up with Political Blackmail is SUPP President, George Chan who have decreed that Sarawak State Government will only entertain “Request of Land Lease Renewal Premium” already paid in prior years only if they are submitted through SUPP. If SUPP have the numbers of UMNO, I believe, George Chan will go on and add “Only SUPP Members” will be entertained!.
While this is Political Blackmail, it is high time, Sarawakians of whatever races rise and start telling this morons to go take a hike. We are not beggars. We are not here to serve this morons interest. Instead, we should tell this morons, if you can not serve, we will vote you out. And this is a must do thing to Save Sarawakians from further oppression.
NCR land surveys: S’wak minister gets ticking off
PKR Sarawak chief Baru Bian today slammed the state’s Assistant Minister of Planning and Resource Management, Mohd Naroden Majais, for saying that natives can get their land surveyed only if they go through BN elected representatives.
“This is politicking. It is nonsense and very irresponsible of him to say that. If (the government) is really sincere about helping the natives, this will not be an issue,” Baru said when contacted.
Naroden had said on Tuesday that the government could not act if requests for land surveys, for the purpose of native customary rights (NCR) claims, were made via opposition elected representatives
Baru (left), who has spent many years defending native customary rights land as a lawyer, said the minister’s statement showed how little he knew about the mechanics of NCR land.
“It is the government’s duty to conduct land surveys under section 18 of the Sarawak Land Code,” he said.
“If there is sufficient evidence of ownership, the government should issue the land titles, but it has been trotting out excuse after excuse.”
The Sarawak government had previously claimed that the Land and Survey Department cannot undertake the survey work involved in the issue of land titles because of the lack of funds.
To address this, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak announced that RM20 million of the federal budget will be allocated for this purpose.
Shortchanging the natives
However, this announcement failed to impress Baru, whose experience in dealing with NCR issues led him to suggest that the move “is just rhetoric”.
“I have the feeling that they don’t want to conduct the surveys because they are afraid that the whole of Sarawak belongs to the natives,” he said.
Even if surveys were conducted, said the Orang Ulu lawyer, the natives would likely be shortchanged.
Surveys could only take into account the land which the longhouses sit, he said, and several cases in Sibu were testimony to this.
There was also the case of the natives forced to move out to make way for the Bakun hydroelectric dam.
“That land is not disputed. What is disputed is the land five to 10km from the longhouses, the farmland on which the natives survive on, but is likely to have been given away to someone else,” he said.
At present, Sarawak natives are embroiled in multiple legal disputes over what they claim to be their NCR land.
This has, however, been challenged by private companies with provisional leases issued by the state government.
In some cases, the natives have been assaulted or charged with trespass when they tried to defend their land.
Abdul Taib’s mansion at Seattle, US for a paltry sum of $1?
This is corruption and a kickback from the Samling Group! Money from logging and exploitation of the Dayak NCR Land. Samling group have been embroiled in controverys in their activities not only in Sarawak, but in nearby Papua New Guinea. Their controversy not only attracted attention in Sarawak, Malaysia, but internationally, resulting in the Norwegian government selling down their investments. Some of their logging activities are facing resistance in the local Courts if not facing blockades by the Dayaks.
PM Najib should order a complete suspension of all logging and oil palm development activities in Sarawak till the completion of “Survey of NCL Boundary”. Failing which it is as good as the Malaysian government endorsing the theft of NCR Land and oppression of the Dayak Community.
Read on and enjoy yet another exposure of how Abdul Taib Mahmud went on to be one of the richest man in Malaysia if not South East Asia or the whole World.
How can Sarawakians rank among one of the poorest in Malaysia? Rural Dayak amongst the poorest with many living in poverty and from hand to mouth with dwindling forest to cultivate corps and hunt for food!
Wonder whether Abdul Taib Mahmud is richer than Quek Leng Chan, Vincent Tan, Ananda Khrisnan, Robert Kuok, Wee Chow Yaw, Yeoh Tiong Lay of the Maluri Group controlled by Tun Daim’s Family!
In yet another exhaustive investigation, Sarawak Report have expose yet another of Abdul Taib Mahmud’s Abuse of Power and collusion with his cronys to steal the wealth of Sarawakians. ….
Sarawak Report would like to enquire of Abdul Taib Mahmud how much he paid for the mansion that Samling passed on to his family in Seattle, USA ?
The residence forms an enormous property, standing in its own grounds in one of the most prestigious area of Seattle on Boylston Avenue. It was passed from a Samling-owned company to a company now owned by Abdul Taib Mahmud and his family, for just one US dollar in 1991
.
A dormant company with a paid up company of RM100 acquiring properties totalling RM78 million plus? But than, not only is Abdul Taib Mahmud’s family the share holder, SUPP President, George Chan’s daughter who is married to YB Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Taib is also a share holder!
Forget how much the market value is worth now.
The first question is where did they get all the money? Even if it is via borrowings, where and how is their cash flow to generate the income to service the interest let alone repayment of the principle borrowed.
Try raising RM78,999,900.00 from the local banks. Or even RHB which was once controlled by Abdul Taib Mahmud’s family. I am sure no banks in Malaysia will give you that sort of money in loans and advances. Even if it is paid for in kind, the question that Sarawkians want to know now, is what is the “kind” that is being paid or exchanged? Inflated Quoted Shares or inflated valuations of Fixed Assets.
And this is clearly an abuse of Power and Collusion between Abdul Taib Mahmud and George Chan.
Surely something can and have to be done by PM Najib and MACC!
“Billionaire” Sarawak Chief Minister Taib Mahmud is once again in the spotlight – this time it is a land property alienated to his family members at an “obscenely” cheap price.
The property has a market value of RM500 million, but it went to a company under his family business empire for only about RM78 million.
This disclosure is certain to stoke up more anger against Taib, popularly known as the White Rajah, who reportedly owns a portfolio of properties worth billions of ringgit in Sarawak and worldwide.
The latest “discovery” is three parcels of prime state land totalling 269 acres at the BDC housing project, Stampin, which has been alienated to a company called Monarda Sdn Bhd.
Registered in November 2008, the company’s 100 shares have been divided among four persons, namely Mahmud Abu Bakir Taib (Taib’s son) — 52 shares, Jamilah Hamidah Taib (Taib’s daughter) — 12 shares, Hanifah Hajar Taib (Taib’s daughter) — 12 shares, Anisa Hamidah Abdullah @Elisa Chan Wai Kuen — 12 shares and Chung Soon Nam — 12 shares.
The scripts have already been written.
In Sibu, SUPP was rumoured to have privately told you to refrain from campaigning in the predominant chinese areas. In Iban majority areas, you extended a miserly RM600.00 grant to each household to ease their miserly. This was not well taken by even your colleague in Sarawak Barisan Nasional and Sarawak State Cabinet, James Jemut Masing who went on to fork out another RM1,000.00.
Never in your reign have we seen anyone dare to stand up to you, except in P212 Sibu Parliamentary By-Election. That is because your bosses, PM Najib and DPM Muhyiddin were both there and the whole world knows, the challenge of Pakatan Rakyat to topple UMNO-Barisan Nasional is for real. Despite their presence, Sibu fell to Pakatan Rakyat. That shows the majority in Sarawak no longer believe you and know you have a evil heart without any sincerity!
Consider this, you came from the same background as those Ibans whom you have insulted by extending a grant of RM600.00. These Ibans have faithfully supported you in your 29 years rule of Sarawak. In this 29 years rule, you and your family have gone on to lead a live of much flamboyance, excesses and luxury, besides the billions you have stashed away in farway Europe, Middle Eastern Europe, Middle East and Australia.
Think for yourself! What have your Politics of Development done to one of your kind. You are a Melanau. That makes you one from the Dayak Community, even though you are a Muslim!
Your Politics of Development went on to develop you, your family and cronys as one of the richest in Malaysia, if not South East Asia, while those who faithfully support you continue to live in poverty. And continue to be labelled as “Hardcore Poor in Malaysia”, the status they were in before even the formation of Malaysia or Independence of Malaya.
You better go and not wait to be told, before you end up as the most hated man in Sarawak if not in Malaysia, where the imminent fall of UMNO-Barisan Nasional will be squarely blamed on you by Perkasa and UMNO!
